COURSE SUMMARY
High angle skills for working on the vertical.
This course sets the standard for technical rope rescue training and is an NFPA requirement for anyone leading a rope rescue team. It builds on high angle skills learned in Technical Rope Rescue – Operator (a pre-requisite). Our step-by-step approach combined with lots of hands-on practice time makes it easy to learn and retain these skills and ensures candidates can progress from core concepts through to the rigging and operation of full systems for raising, lowering and highline rescues.
The skills and knowledge covered in this course are relevant for all other technical rescue disciplines including swiftwater, surface ice, confined space, trench, cave and light structural collapse. And don’t forget, we host ProBoard Evaluations for Technical Rope Rescue through a partnership with North Vancouver Fire Rescue.
This course meets and exceeds NFPA 1670 and 1006 Technical Rope requirements.
